Snapped these pictures this morning.. Gosh the snow came early this year!


I forgot to reset the white balance of my camera and hence the icy blue tone of the pictures.. I actually liked it.. a pleasant mistake after all..

What an interesting collection from Dries Van Noten. A brilliant continuation on his work of ethnicity since 2008. This time with more inspirations drawn from Southeast Asia. Yep, it's the Sarong Kebaya mentioned in the video.. Kebaya is a traditional blouse-dress worn by many women across Southeast Asia, with combination of flowery prints and colors (sometimes hand-painted) on the garments. Dries Van Noten did a good job integrating the element to his signature silhouette, making every pieces standout, fabulous, effortless and chic as usual, but not intentional : ) Needless to mention.. the shoes and jewelry are to die for.

我没有创意，也没有创作的天份... 一直以来觉得创作是非常了不起的事情。那是上天对某些人的厚爱所赋予的能力。嗯... 凭空想象一些不存在的，把它们变为现实。非常了不起... 对于需要凭空想象的工作，我一般敬而远之（惭愧...）可是年纪渐长，我开始想多接触想多了解设计\创作.. 那是因为... （不对，我仍然不愿意踏入这一行... 我只想了解做设计的你，背后的动力、想法和愿望）... 有一些让我缅怀过去的事情特别想把它们勾勒出来... 也可能因为看的东西比过去多了慢慢的有了自己的想法... 也可能因为周围存在着太多千篇一律的事物，特别想让人寻找心中那平凡的不平凡... 也可能因为，没什么特别原因... 只想满足日常生活的需要。



周末看了两家architectural homes。这些房子都是建筑设计师为他们的clients"订身"制作的，但大多是在原来房子结构的基础上重新翻新而成的。嗯... 这是第一次近距离的感受建筑师结合普通人家日常生活需要设计而成的房子 （嗯.. 上次参观的Fallingwater仅是个富裕商人避暑的度假屋）基本家庭需要的光线、空间感、储物间、个人空间、家庭空间、景、个人喜好、室内装饰都照顾到了。配合了这些需要再结合建筑师本身的vision和各种不同建筑材料的运用，一直以来让人感觉不好接近的现代感设计突然变得"亲民"起来了

我更喜欢Charles Stinson的设计，或者这么说吧... 简单的色调与线条，富余的空间感，细腻有质感的细节更是我那杯茶！

This Minne Minnie City..

This is downtown Minneapolis. I have never viewed the city in the twilight. When I came across this picture on WesternLivingMagazine.com, I was so fond of it and had to paste it on my blog.

A good coverage of the city was featured on Western Living (Click Me!) by Timothy Taylor.
It's always a pleasure to read city guide..
Always fun to explore..
Always exciting to learn the city has more to offer than I imagined..

这个夏天来来回回的看了好多房子
中意的房子真不容易碰上..
只能不停的妥协着玩着 地点、交通、结构、设计、布局、朝向、预算的游戏
从中找个平衡点 定下来 把游戏结束
累人啊

Let's Start From Here

周末的两部电影

嗯，也太久不更新了。好懒。

周末补看了两部电影。一个开心收场一个悲剧结尾。
嗯，两部都是拿了无数奖状得了无数好评的电影。
Slumdog Millionaire & Revolutionary Road

Slumdog Millionaire前半部非常好看。
当然，也不知道其中有没有夸大的成份。
电影中的印度社会问题拍得很尖刻，看了叫人震憾，同时也深感难过。
小演员们很有表演天赋，长得也可爱，是电影的亮点。
故事中两兄弟间的感情，让我想起了最爱的The Kite Runner。。
电影故事以穿插性的方式倒叙，这很合我胃口～
看了故事前半段，除了赞赞赞，还是赞!
后来，电影慢慢交代了男主参加问答节目的因由。。
才发现。。这原来是部爱情电影!!! 唉我不爱我不爱了~~~
这么长的铺叙，只想celebrate男女主角最后的重逢。
不过。。整体来说，实在不能否认这是部好电影。

Revolutionary Road则有点沉重。。
内心想说这也是一部很好的电影，可另一方面却不大喜爱其中的故事。
Kate & Leo演技不容置疑，养眼的搭档，倾情的演出。。
疯子高材生是个亮点，彪的言论是那么的疯，却也是那么的一针见血。
就是故事有点压抑，看了让人郁闷。
电影试图反映社会一些问题婚姻的存在
但极端的结尾方式，感觉还是还有点儿戏剧性了。。
或许另挑别个悲剧结尾还会好些呢。嗯这则不得而知了。

总结嘛：都是很eye-catchy的电影，至少没让我半途睡着 lol~

大风雪下远赴捧场 还好不令人失望 ^_^
现场气氛热爆 观众们也载歌载舞的 秩序也还良好

Jay的表演是一贯的认真
钢琴 吉他 套鼓 甚至古筝 都玩得非常好
曲风由西哈 R&B 中国风到抒情 很是多元的创作
他跟嘉宾宇豪的钢琴对弹 更是不容错过
最后encore用古筝弹的《发如雪》 简直是惊艳啊惊艳

在纽约的最后一个心愿也完成了
要是离开的话想必也没什么好遗憾了

回首

过去不堪回首的..
如今只剩下了轻描淡写

看着孩子们 手里拿着一串串香喷喷的鱼蛋
在熙熙攘攘的大街上 开怀的吃着笑着走着
我心中曾经的冷 早已经烟消云散

曾经处处的不是 如今只溢着满满的温暖
